Who is Josiah Economidis…?

I’m a proudly Brisbane-based filmmaker, who has especial experience in writing, directing, and videography. Currently, I study a bachelor of Fine Arts (Film & TV Media) at QUT Kelvin Grove.

My personal films commonly delve into themes of truth, reality,
the muddy in-between of who we are compared to who we wish to be, and the realities we write for ourselves. The million masks of God.

I love my city, and wish to work towards putting Australia on the filmmaking map again - keeping the talent here rather than moving them to America.

Throughout my 6 year filmmaking journey, I’ve helped make a number of films from virtual studios, live broadcasting, government-funded projects, commercial advertisements, short films, and music videos.

If we work together, I hope you’re as passionate about filmmaking
as I am.

A man sitting in a red chair with one leg crossed over the other, wearing a patterned shirt, jeans, and sneakers. A younger man in a white shirt is leaning forward on the floor. The scene is set in a bright room with large windows, a wooden sideboard, potted plants, and a colorful rug.
